The Fawn and Timp-Torne Trails will provide some challenges – and great views – on the way up West Mountain. As we’re rambling we’ll intersect with the famous Appalachian Trail, find a mica mine, perhaps even come across the bashful skink lizards that live up in the higher elevations of the park. The views on top of West Mountain are spectacular – a 360 degree view of Harriman State Park! See “What to Bring” on the left. We will email parents in advance of the hike if there are any changes to this list.
