Drama

Campers in costume bowing after a skit

Drama at camp is something we try to avoid, except when it’s a scheduled activity. As such, when campers go to Drama they will play theater games, improvise, plan and practice skits, laugh a lot, sing, learn how to project, imagine and create. There are no staged productions or performances. As with most activities at camp we look to nature for inspiration, where there are always little dramas happening around us: dragonflies flitting over the water’s surface scooping up mosquitoes to eat, or the darkening skies that signal the coming of a dramatic thunderstorm.
