Emily Selover

Emily has been with The Nature Place for 21 magical and nourishing summers. She began her journey at camp as a camper, and still remembers the very first fairy home she ever built in the Enchanted Forest. Emily later became a CIT, a counselor for many years, a member of our summer administrative team, has now been a member of our year-round team for several years and is currently our Assistant Director.

Emily’s formal education includes a BA in both Environmental Studies and Sociology, a minor in biology, and post-college coursework in environmental education. While in college, she backpacked through the California wilderness for ten weeks, studying Eco-psychology. After college, Emily enjoyed some time living in an off-the-grid solar powered trailer in Mendocino, California and worked as a Naturalist under the alias ‘Anemone’, before eventually returning home to The Nature Place. When not at camp, her favorite things to do are climb rocks, search for nudibranches in tide pools, and eat too much cashew nut “cheese”.
