Camp Setting
Our campus is a green oasis in Rockland County, made up of approximately 200 acres of fields, forests, farmland, orchards, gardens, and ponds.
Some of our favorite spots include our climbing tree (a very tall tree outfitted with “Monkey Hardware” so that it can be climbed like a rock climbing wall), our “Pond” (a human-made swimming pool that has the natural edges and sandy surroundings of a pond), the “Fairy Stream”, the chicken coop, Indian Rock (a huge glacial erratic in the woods), the Outdoor Classroom, and the Children’s Garden. With room to roam and explore, plus beautiful outdoor spaces for gathering, “playgrounds” made by nature, and plenty of water to cool off in, we spend as much time as we can out of doors. Our indoor spaces are, however, equally beautiful and plentiful! The Green Meadow Waldorf School buidlings feature unique architecture, lovely murals, and tons of natural light. Spaces include a music room, a gymnasium, a dance and movement studio, a kitchen for our cooking activity, and a room (or tipi!) for each group of campers to call home.
