Jason’s weekly live interviews from summer camp 2025 with Nature Place staff members!

Relive your favorite memories from the summer, or get to know more about our Nature Place culture.

Live from The Pond — that’s a wrap on week 1: Taking Care Week! It’s only the first week, and already there’s so much to reflect on. Jason catches up with The Pond staff to talk about the energy, the growth, and the little moments that are already making this summer one to remember. New faces, returning favorites, staying fit, Pond magic, and plenty of laughs along the way.

Week 2 was all about breaking the ice—and we did just that. This week, Jason catches up with our oldest group’s head counselor Caroline and Woodworking’s own ‘Toolman Tim’ to reflect on a week filled with new friendships, big adventures, and projects coming to life. This one’s all about friendships forming, the projects taking shape, and the excitement of staying in tents in unexpected places. Plus: speculation on if we will have a sighting of the illustrious Queen of the Flying Bananas next week!?

In week 3, The Nature Place goes Over the Hill as camp turns 40 years old! This week, Jason sits down with CIT Laii and Head Counselor Moss to reflect on a week full of surprises. When a summer storm sent silt into The Pond, we drained and refilled it—but not before turning the challenge into joy with extra water play and camp magic. Hear their favorite moments and how campers made lemonade out of lemons.

Week 4 was Making Waves week! Beans, Scott, and Sebastian gather by The Pond to share their highlights with Jason—from Cedar Pond trips to mastering archery skills, the storms may have stirred the water last week, but the waves we made during week 4 were all our own.

In week 5, campers learned how to Leaf No Trace. Jason is joined by Mr. Yahaya and Barefoot Janet to explore the movement and meaning behind two camp cornerstones: African drumming & dance and the Barefoot Zone. Together, they reflect on the power of storytelling to connect us to ourselves, each other, and the world beneath our feet.

In our Week 6 and all-camp wrap-up of our theme Thyme to Remember, Jason sits down with Social Behavioral team members Marlie, Chris, and Leila to share favorite summer memories, beloved activities, and the moments that made this season unforgettable. It’s a celebration of camp magic from start to finish.
