Natural Homemade Body Scrub Recipe

Here’s a recipe from our Holistic Healing Activity Leader, Ciara~Rose. This body scrub will exfoliate and soften your skin; and depending on which essential oils you add, it can have many additional benefits from relaxation to pain relief. This makes a wonderful handmade gift as well :).
~ In a bowl, mix until evenly combined:
- 1 cup of Brown Sugar
- ½ – 1 cup of either Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, or Vitamin E Oil
- Essential Oils (Lavender, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Frankincense, Ylang Ylang) *10-15 Drops*
~ Store in a sealed jar or container to maintain freshness
Lavender Oil: Calming, relaxing and has been known to help with insomnia or restless nights.
Eucalyptus Oil: Clarifying and refreshing; may stimulate our minds and increase energy. It may support treatment of respiratory challenges, muscle pain, and exhaustion.
Tea Tree Oil or Melaleuca Oil: Thought to minimize infections from spreading and to quell coughs/colds. Topically, Tea Tree oil may help heal and prevent scarring and bacteria from building on the skin. (Use in moderation; can be drying).
Frankincense Oil: An astringent that may help fight infections, promote immunity, heal scarring, aid in cell regeneration, and soothe anxiety.
Ylang Ylang Oil: Has been used as a mood enhancer to soothe and calm our emotions and energy. Ylang-ylang also has been used to lower blood pressure.
